"The Game" has changed the American mating game indelibly, as much as anything since the Hite Report, the Kinsey study, or even Darwin's work on sexual selection. Neil Strauss has documented the state of American "hookup" rituals, emerging with a blueprint for how today's "pickup artists" get women. Men all over are having an epiphany as they unravel the "Mystery" of that previously invisible "boyfriend" of the beautiful women they wanted. Mystery, also the name of the man who, according to Style, is the "World's Greatest PUA," however, was slightly different in the flesh than the way the women described him.
Every "nice guy" has been dealing with guys like Mystery since his early teens. Mystery was the invisible wall that would make progress with beautiful women impossible, the man who occupied her thoughts, the man for whom she has one set of rules, while for you she has another. If pressed about his existence, she'll deny it unless she cannot (like if she's seen with him or he's forced to interact with you through her), in which case she'll deny the true nature of their relationship. Usually she'll claim either that he is her bofyriend, even if he is seeing other women (something Mystery advocates as "MLTR"), or she'll say he's a "friend" if she's not allowed to call him a boyfriend, and deny that they are fucking. Mystery will do his part to preserve his sex supply by going along with the "secret society" charade in order to keep her reputationi intact. Bottom line: He gets laid, she gets a pass on her reputation and any scrutiny, and you get FUCKED.
While she is fucking Mystery, he'll own her world, and any thoughts she has of fucking any man. She'll be captivated by his charm (and now his fame and money), and she'll *expect* other women to want him, which will make her compete for him only more. The same woman who tells a nice guy that he has to jump through hoops and walk on eggs forever just to maybe one day get a chance, requiers nothing more of Mystery than the mere hope that one day she might be able to tame him. A few dozen lay reports for Mystery go by, she realizes she's not going to tame him, gets frustrated, and winds up "dumping" a man she never really had in the first place. While she's doing all this, she placates the nice guy with the occasional complment, and her attention in the event she needs a favor from him, and tells him to "be himself" and "be patient," because one day that "right woman" will show up out of nowhere. When you act like you believe her, she thinks to herself how stupid you are, how you "don't get it" and then she has a good laugh in bed with Mystery before his fifteenth blow-job of the evening.
You, the nice guy, ask yourself "How is this possible?" You're what she claims she wants in a guy, yet she shows absolutely no interest in you, calling you a "good friend" or saying you're "like a brother" to her, or some other bullshit that you eat up and are all too willing to settle for, the mere *hope* of one day getting laid. Never mind that if she ever had to go a week without sex involuntarily she'd piss and moan so the whole world could hear. Since she sees herself as special, the guy she's fucking as a "winner," and you as a clueless loser, to her, this is how the world is supposed to be, and you certainly aren't doing anything to change her mind. She can get everything she wants from you without having to give up sex, and she knows that Mystery will be on to another woman if she doesn't put out, and quickly and often. While she would call you shallow if you ever tried to fuck her (since you'd only want "one thing"), she accepts this from Mystery and worries more if he will find her pretty enough than if he is shallow for how he is judging her.
What "The Game" did was put men like Mystery front and center. He is no longer invisible, and this is very useful to the AFC (average frustrated chump), since now he knows what he is up against, and he knows what women (allegedly) find more attractive than him. Not only that, but Mystery has also proven that a "seduction guru" can get wealthy very quickly, so now the stakes are not only love and sex, but the money that comes with being a man who has sex with multiple hotties. This adds yet another slap in the face to the AFC, because not only does he lose the woman to Mystery, he also loses the fame and fortune that comes with being the guy who "gets women." Women, meanwhile, tell the AFC that he is the better man, while giving all of the rewards of being a better man to the man whose treatment of women she claims to despise.
The one advantage the AFC has in all of this is that a hottie needs to protect her reputation. It is important to her that the world perceive her as being virtuous, and as a woman who appreciates a good man. To accomplish this, she constructs a totally false "good girl" existence, will lash out at you if you call her a liar for doing so, and she will engage in "secret society" behavior with men who prove themselves smart enough to play along with the charade, part of which involves lying to you about being sexually unavailable and draining your time and money in return for nothing. Only when she winds up discarded by the Mysterys of the world will she consider changing, and will usually be temporarily contrite until the next player comes along. Sometimes, during this period, she will show a fleeting interest in you, only to lose interest as soon as she repeats her last mistake. You can sometimes get rebound sex if you exploit this window (generally you'll have a few days at most, sometimes only one or two), but for the most part, your best option for remaining a "nice guy" and still getting what you want is to run a form of "split game."
By "split game" I am talking about American men who run one type of game on American women, and another type on foreign women. American men are sexual royalty in many parts of the world, because we are relatively wealthy, and we have the potential to bring a woman here so that she can obtain residency or citizenship status. That is a gold mine to a foreign golddigger, and a lot less expensive than an American golddigger. It is not that foreign women are more likely to be golddiggers than American women, they just have lower price tags. A guy who earns an average income in America will not stand out financially, so he will not see just how many women are for sale to rich men. Abroad, however, he will be wealthier than 99 percent of available men and have his pick of the litter. This is the first step in establishing split game, because once you are prepared to use the "foreign option," you can run the second part of your split game on American women, since you will never again be something she can call a "loser who can't get laid." This makes you immune to rejection from American women, and that's when the fun begins.
The "Challenge Fox" is something I've written about extensively in my books (see my profile link for a link to my website which sells them and gives away some of them), and refers to women who show sexual interest in a man only because she has been "challenged" not to. This works very well online because you can communicate through your profile or MySpace page, and this puts the burden of first contact on her, since she would have to "approach" you to comment on your views. For example, in my AOL profiles I have often put that I don't pursue American women (true, since they have to pursue me), and that I find foreign women superior. American women of course want to "defend" themselves, and if you're dealing with a super-hottie, you have already won the battle because she is trying to win you over to get you to give "American women" (her) a chance, whereas if you had approached her normally, she would have deemed you unworthy. What has happened is that she realizes you can get hotties in other countries, and since you know about this, she also realizes that you don't care if she rejects you or not, and this takes all of the fun out of doing so for her. She then has to relate to you normally, and if you hold the frame by being skeptical of her because she is an American woman, she will continue to try to validate herself to you, sometimes all the way to the bedroom.
With "The Game" you can use anti-game to add to your split game, by discussing the book with the women here. Point out that if you had some hotties for girlfriends, you could get rich like Mystery, so women who turn you down here are costing you millions in addition to "breaking your heart," etc. Use the examples in the book (and the seduction websites in general) to show her why you gave up on American women. Tell her things like you'd rather go to a country where you can be a nice guy and still get a beautiful woman than to stay here and become like Mystery. You don't have to dwell on it, since part of the split game is not making advances on American women, so any continuation of the argument will have to be initiated by her. If she gets mad, hold your ground, but also act like you really don't care because you aern't trying to change her or the world, but rather are just doing what you have to do to look out for yourself (something a golddigger can always relate to).
If she tries to push the issue by saying she's "not like that," you can point out that you didn't know she was an option (if she denies being an option then what she's like doesn't matter), and if she tries to blame you or your attitude, you can still be thankful that the women overseas don't seem to mind you as you are. If she tells you to lower your standards, you can show her pictures of beautiful women from other countries and remind her that you don't have to.
Finally, if she plays her trump card and says those women are whores and golddiggers, you can "neg" her (and other American hotties) by explaining that you already know this, but that American women are no different beyond the much higher price tag. If she says you are wrong, you can point out to her what is available to wealthy American men, and ask her if she knows anyone who is willing to do the same for you without you having to be rich. If not, well, that just again proves why going overseas is a superior option. This leaves her with three options: 1) fuck you herself; 2) do as much as she can to hook you up with another hottie; or 3) lose the argument. 3) is usually not an option with most hotties, so they'll try for 2) and resort to 1) if they have to, telling their friends that "things changed" when all that really changed is that she realized you weren't the clueless loser she thought you were.
The key to running split game is disenfranchisement. A disenfranchised AFC is an AFC who doesn't have to part with time or resources in the futile pursuit of a hottie. You no longer have to open your mind, your heart or your wallet to these hotties who would rather be part of an MLTR with Mystery than a loving relationship with you. You can then stop being a "financial slut" (see my previous post in this topic), close your station on her gravy train, and while you haven't gotten laid by her (yet), she is the one who actually loses something, namely your friendship and your money. As I've explained to hotties who seem to think they have a right to my money or my time, "I don't pay to get other men laid." If she's going to fuck Mystery and not me, let her get her money, attention, and everything else she needs from him. If I lift even a finger for her, I am making Mystery's job easier by meeting her needs.
As Mystery himself would tell you, it pays to have respect for yourself and standards. Mystery is only a product of what women want in men, because every time they fuck him or a guy like him, they validate his existence and now make him wealthier because they create positive experiences for those who use his methods. If they want to make royalty out of a man like that, they should stop expecting the AFC to play lapdog, and stop relying on him for resources, which they AFC should simply refuse to provide unless doing so will get him laid. "No lay, no pay" is a good motto, and it should apply to hottie friends, pivots, "hired guns" that too many AFCs shower with tip money (giving them no need for money from the men they fuck, of course), and engage in financially slutty behavior that does little more than to fund the sex life of a player. This is also true of the $20 cover charges at nightclubs where AFC men go to get blown off, and all of the money they spend in all forms of fruitless pursuit. The split-game, challenge-fox approach is far more effective, and a lot less expensive.
Now you theoretically may have to one day exercise the foreign option, and you really can get a hottie that way, but more often than not, an American Challenge Fox will surface long before then in order to "prove" to you that "women aren't like that," even if by doing so she will be proving the exact opposite.
